HR Now’ is our Employer Advisory Service that provides you, the Employer, with a direct line to your own HR professional who can answer your burning questions fast, provide information, and advise you on the best course of action as HR matters arise in your business. HR Now is designed to support small and medium sized businesses across Australia to deal with HR matters, in the moment, when they pop up.

What exactly does the 15-minute consultation cap mean?

Each phone call or email response is capped at 15 minutes. In that time, we will provide as much advice as possible to answer your query completely so you can move forward confidently. If more time is required to answer a more detailed query that requires a deeper discussion or for us to review documentation to be able to provide a definitive answer, we will let you know and you'll have the option to approve we continue with this additional work (invoiced at our standard consulting rate). However, we're generally able to provide you the answers you're seeking within the initial 15 mins.

What are your business hours for HR Now support?

HR Now support is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm AEST. This includes both phone consultations and email responses. Outside these hours, you can still leave messages or send emails, and we'll respond asap the next morning.

What types of HR matters can HR Now help with?

We can assist with employment legislation queries, HR policies, disciplinary matters, dismissals, wage rates, discrimination issues, bullying and harassment, work health and safety, award interpretations, leave provisions, worker's compensation queries, recruitment guidance, and much more. We cover the full breadth of HR matters that arise in day-to-day business operations.

What does HR Now NOT include?

HR Now doesn't include us conducting specialist HR work such as (but not limited to) conducting workplace investigations, dealings with Fair Work Commission or Work Cover, HR audits, document review or development, policy creation, conducting performance sessions, psychometric testing, training content development, recruitment process management. However will will be able to provide you of an estimate of time for such work to be conducted as a HR Consulting Project at our standard consulting project rate.

Can I cancel my subscription before the 12-month minimum term?

The service requires a 12-month minimum commitment. If you wish to terminate before 12 months, the remaining months must be paid in full within 7 days. After the initial 12-month term, you can terminate with 7 days written notice.

Do you provide advice for workers or just employers?

Our HR Now subscription is dedicated to providing advice to Employers only. Workers seeking advice on workplace issues should contact the Fair Work Commission on 1300 799 675.

What if my query requires legal representation?

HR Now doesn't include legal representation in court or formal legal proceedings. However, if we determine that legal advice is in your best interest, we can refer you to one of our highly experienced employment lawyers and help prepare any necessary documentation.

How experienced are your HR consultants?

As a full-service HR consultancy, all our HR consultants have extensive HR careers with experience across big business, small business, public sector, and private sector environments. This broad experience allows us to provide practical and relevant advice you can rely on regardless of your industry or business size. All our HR Consultants are certified HR Practitioners with the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).
